Happy Halloween everyone!


So I've been absent for way too long as I've been buried in work. I'm currently directing a pilot for Disney animation, art directing a new high-profile cartoon, editing a live-action series I've been working on for some time and trying to find time to be a dad and draw the living dead. It's been crazy but I should hopefully have some good news soon about any of these projects once I'm allowed to talk about them.

Tomorrow the latest annual SPECTRUM 16 hits stores. I will have my Werewolf Women of the SS piece in there, check it out if you get a chance.




Another piece to look out for will be in Rob Zombie's new album HELLBILLY DELUXE 2! Look for it!

NEWS AND CRAP
I have been burning the candle at both ends lately. While trying to finish up my short film ( which should have an announcement soon ) I finished up my work on Winnie the Pooh and am now directing a new pilot cartoon for Disney. Both are looking great and have taken up all my time and left little for getting to draw zombies and girls. I need to draw the undead bad so hopefully I'll have some new stuff to show soon.

Found out recently that I have received my 4th EMMY nomination!! This will be my 2nd nomination for "Best Director" in an animated series. Really cool to get noticed for something like that.


ARTBOOK
I have been working off and on a new artbook which will have tons of new art, a sketchbook section and pieces I've never posted anywhere. The book will be full color and looking to be well over a 100 pages right now. I'll post more as it gets closer to completion.


Anyhow, haven't posted in a long while and wanted to give an update of what's been going on.

A lot has been going on since I last posted.

MASTERS OF HORROR
First, I had an awesome evening this weekend. Thanks to my pal Amit at [link] and Don Coscarelli for inviting me to a nice dinner with the Masters of Horror. I did poster artwork for a Drive-in show that featured many legendary horror films as well as their Masters of Horror episodes and then got to have dinner with the men behind them. It was a dream come true to have dinner with legends Don (Phantasm) Coscarelli, Angus (Tallman) Scrimm, Tom Holland ( Fright night), Larry Cohen ( It's Alive), Tobe Hooper (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Joe Dante (The Howling), Mick Garris ( everything Stephen King ). A truly amazing night.


CAPTAIN CLEGG AND THE NIGHT CREATURES
Rob Zombie asked me to do the cover art for the band "Captain Clegg and the Night Creatures" which will be featured in Halloween 2. I'm really happy with how the piece came out. I'll post more once it is released.

WHATS COMING UP
I am about wrapped up on "My friends Tigger & Pooh". It has been a great series to have worked on for the last 4 years and I'm really proud of the work everyone involved accomplished. I am going onto some development work now which will hopefully lead to some other projects as well as trying to wrap up my film. The film is looking really cool so far. I can't wait to spill the beans about it once it is more complete. A lot different than my normal stuff but looking really nice.

Hope to get a second artbook done soon as well. Have lots of work to go in one.

The DVD I directed for Disney, "Winnie the Pooh and a Musical Too", hit stores this week. This is a musical based off "My friends Tigger & Pooh" which I have been working on for the past year or more. I am really proud of this, especially the Tigger "bouncing" song, and all the musical numbers. Yea, I know, it's not monsters nor has it any chainsaw scenes, but I think it came out pretty good. If you have kids then please check it out, I think they will like it a lot.

I am also working on a short film that just gets bigger and bigger with pal Don Coscarelli. I am hoping to get this thing done in the near future and let you guy know what it is. So far it is looking really cool.

I've had a blog just sitting around for awhile now and just used it to repost a lot of the same stuff I post here. So I decided to make it a little different and started posting some of the lineart and sketches to the finished illos I put up on here and my website. THE VOLUME ONE ARTBOOK IS BACK IN PRINT!!!

My first artbook sold-out a long while ago and I never brought it back due to some potential deals, inflated printing costs and just a lack of time mailing these things.
