SWAMP DEAD by Hartman

Well, this certainly sucks for her...  running through the swamp trying to escape the zombies only to get stuck in the mud.  And, as she struggles and strains to get free, all she manages to do is drive her legs in deeper into the mire and getting even more stuck.  All the while, the slow-moving zombies are in no hurry as they gradually close in on the trapped, sinking woman.

The expression on the woman's face really makes this piece and tells the story...  she'd been able to easily stay ahead of the snail-pace zombies, and just when she thought she'd get away from them for sure, she gets ambushed by the mud and is held captive until their arrival.  One can only imagine the anguish and horror she felt for several minutes, perhaps even an hour, as she struggled and writhed, jerking at her stuck legs to escape the tenacious suction of the mud, and sinking deeper and deeper as she occasionally looked over her shoulder to see zombies approach ever so closer with each passing minute.

You did an outstanding job bringing out the remote and dismal atmosphere of the swamp.  You also did a great job depicting the horror and helplessness of the woman's situation...  unable to free herself in spite all her efforts as the denizens slowly creep up on her one step at a time.  Great job drawing the thick mud forming around her hips, holding her fast, and the flies add a nice touch to her overall misery.

Great pose you drew the doomed woman in, and I like the transparency of her sweat-soaked t-shirt.
