While I do understand Mummies (especially Mummy Lords to Gods) are not a form of Zombie, I guess when compared with the Voodoo variants of Zombies, they could have connections, since Voodoo Zombies aren't necessarily undead.


As one of us the souls, have been captured and trapped inside jars, with the sentient, voodoo magic that hijacks the bodily vessel we had always taken control over ever since birth. Then, the Zombies are used as servants to abide by the Voodoo magician's rule and epoch to their own ends. Its sort of like that, except Mummies could be guardians protecting a special artifact, are something similar along those lines.
