I started a poll on which Universal Monster should be drawn and the Creature from the Black Lagoon has been winning so far. I decided to go ahead and draw him anyhow and I'll take his name off the poll, but keep the votes coming.

This piece didn't turn out quite as cool as I hoped. The lighting in the cave was a little tricky to not get too contrasty or too muddy. The girl in white behind him is Julia Adams from the first movie.

Gotta love the Gillman.

I think the lighting in the cave is awesome. The contrast, the mud, it captures the eerie, smudgy camerawork used in the underwater sequences of the film, and makes him look really, really cool.
