Just a fun little piece for the greatest monster ever! I love this charcter but I noticed I've never really done a more classic version of him. Igor was fun to draw.

Yea, that could be a lot of fun. Frankenstein is my favorite monster.

Man, so that's why I always feel bad about killing "The Creature" in Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. I almost forgot how the book and movie versions of Frankenstein's monster were sad and lonely beings who couldn't fit in the world no matter how much they tried. I think that in the book, the only person who accepted him as a normal person was an old blind man who couldn't see the monster. But then the old man's family payed a visit to him while the monster was in the house, and drove the monster away.
But this picture reminds me why I like the monster as well, now. And it looks very well done, too!

Thanks. I was trying to get that frightening yet sympathetic feel to him. That's what I always loved about the character in the book as well as the Karloff version.

Thanks for noticing. :D

I adore your style of deforming the creatures and characters in your pictures, it looks like it's a lot of fun to draw that way! Kind of reminds me of the way the Creepshow movies had those animated comic scenes between the live action stories... Makes me want to draw more monsters in scarier, more twisted ways, too. I sure do need the practice at creepy crawly art.

HA HA! THanks! It really is a lot of fun to just twist the characters and let them get gross and see what happens.

I ended up working with the guy who did a lot of animation for those Creepshow animations. That movie had such an impact on me that I thought it was the greatest thing to meet a guy who worked on those.

Let 'um get gross, haha! I have a hard time doing that, it's gonna take much practice since I tend to do cute art. But, to be diverse with my subject matter, now that'd be fun.

Whoooa, did you? Lucky! Yaaah that would be cool, and to work with someone who has given you reasons to persevere in your art would be very much fun and an honor, as well.

I love drawing gross stuff and cute stuff. Although I don't really post too much cute stuff on DA, I might have to open another account or something for that stuff.
