CEPHALOPOD by Hartman by sideshowmonkey CEPHALOPOD by Hartman by sideshowmonkey
Finally got some time to sketch the other day while watching glorious 1980's action flicks. I love 80's action/revenge/rogue cop movies but it makes me wish it had more monsters. It would have been awesome to see Chuck Norris or Dolph Lundgren fight this guy.

You are an extremely talented artist! Very inspiring! I am going to enjoy looking through your gallery.  What is your favorite medium to create with?

Thanks, really appreciate it. Honestly, I still love just drawing with pencil on crappy copy paper. I do most of my work on that then scan in and paint digitally.

Very H.P. Lovecraft! I have a thing for creatures, and this one is excellent. A death match between Cephalopod and Chuck Norris would be great. No offense to Norris, but C would have the edge. Wink/Razz  And like other commentators, I like these old comic book texture you give these works.

I hope you're not offended at me asking, but i've been trying to learn how to make that "worn out", or "cracked" poster texture you've got going around the edges.
Do you just paint them on, or do you have a trick in photoshop to do so?

Your art inspires me a ton- and i love this piece so much!

Thanks in advance!

Thanks so much! I just scan in old comics and damaged magazines and use those as textures that I then have to touch up.
